Deputy Home Minister (Wamendagri) Ribka Haluk has stressed the importance of regional governments (Pemda) strengthening the Family Welfare Empowerment Movement Team (TP PKK). According to her, TP PKK is a strategic partner of the government in supporting the implementation of the Asta Cita to realise Golden Indonesia 2045. TP PKK also has an extensive network reaching the family level, making it a spearhead in various community development programmes.

This was conveyed by Ribka while representing Home Affairs Minister (Mendagri) Muhammad Tito Karnavian at the peak of the 54th PKK Unity Movement Day (HKG) commemoration, themed ‘Strengthen the 10 Main PKK Programmes, Implement Asta Cita, Realise Golden Indonesia 2045’, at Hotel Claro, Makassar City, South Sulawesi, on Saturday (11/7).

In a written statement from the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), Ribka said that TP PKK is an organisation that has grown and worked down to the village level. Therefore, strengthening the role of TP PKK is important, especially in supporting family development, improving the quality of education and health, and community empowerment, including in underdeveloped, frontier, and outermost (3T) regions. ‘TP PKK is an organisation that can mobilise the potential of communities in regions, in all corners of Indonesia,’ said Ribka.

She emphasised that regional governments need to provide support for the implementation of PKK programmes, including through the provision of adequate budgets. According to her, the Ministry of Home Affairs has issued Home Affairs Ministerial Decree (Kepmendagri) Number 900.1-861 of 2026, which directs regional governments to allocate budgets for financing PKK programmes in the regions. Ribka stated that regional government support is a crucial factor in ensuring PKK programmes can run optimally. She asserted that budget efficiency must not reduce the regions’ commitment to supporting the implementation of PKK programmes, whose benefits are directly felt by the community. ‘PKK is an important matter that needs to be supported by the Regional Budget (APBD),’ said Ribka.

Ribka also expressed appreciation for the dedication of the Central TP PKK and all levels of TP PKK throughout Indonesia, who have continuously contributed to empowering families and communities. She expressed hope that the synergy between the central government, regional governments, and TP PKK will grow stronger so that the 10 Main PKK Programmes can run optimally.
