Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Nanik Sudaryati Deyang, stressed that they do not forbid citizens from uploading MBG menus that are not fit onto the internet. Social media uploads actually help BGN monitor the MBG programme.

‘We are very helped if the public uploads the menu,’ she said on Tuesday, quoted on Wednesday (4/3/2026).

This, she said, will also help BGN take action against SPPG proven to not meet procedures and requirements in the processing to serving MBG. Even those who are naughty will be suspended immediately.

‘If the menu is not correct, we suspend the kitchen, we close the kitchen,’ she said firmly.

‘These posts should include the address, where the SPPG is, and when? Do not circulate videos from last year again. If that is circulated again, it means other purposes,’ she said.

Currently the number of SPPG operating nationally has reached more than 24,000 units. The target for establishing SPPG is 30,000 units while currently there are only 70 observers of SPPG in BGN.

However BGN only has 70 observers. Therefore it is difficult to monitor 24,000 SPPG at present, and the 30,000 target later.

On the same occasion, she dismissed journalists’ concerns about defamation charges under the Information and Electronic Transactions Act (UU ITE), which would be imposed on those who post MBG menus. According to Nanik, the ITE law trap can only be applied if what is posted is hoax.

She also explained again the MBG menu budget: the food budget for the programme is not Rp 15,000, but Rp 8,000 to Rp 10,000. If the menu is indeed poor and the price is below the budget set, and citizens upload with a clear address, that is not hoax.

‘Thus it will not be subject to UU ITE. The important thing is not to defame and not to hoax; they will surely not fall under UU ITE,’ she said firmly.

She was also asked about schools returning MBG because the menu is not fit. According to Nanik, BGN allows if there are schools that do not wish to receive MBG.

‘That is allowed. In fact, not receiving it is also allowed. BGN has never forced schools to accept it. Refusing it is not a problem,’ she said.

‘The important thing is to prepare a letter of declaration, saying, ’We refuse the MBG programme.’ Not a problem. There are still many schools queueing to receive MBG,’ she added, assuring that schools that refuse MBG will not be blacklisted.
