Deputy Head of National Nutrition Agency Sony Sonjaya Denies Being Targeted in Law Enforcement Raid

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Sony Sonjaya, Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) and a retired police inspector general, has denied being the subject of a law enforcement raid.

He stated that his presence at Bareskrim Police headquarters in Jakarta on Monday was proof he was not targeted.

‘I am here today speaking with media colleagues,’ he said.

Previously, on Thursday (21 May), reports circulated that Sony had been subject to an OTT by the Attorney General’s Office.

The news spread among media personnel.

In response, Attorney General’s Office Chief of Legal Public Information (Kapuspenkum) Anang Supriatna denied the claims.

‘No,’ he said.

Sony holds the position of Deputy Head of BGN for Operational Nutrition Fulfillment.

A retired police officer, he previously held various key roles at the regency, provincial, and Bareskrim police levels.

In addition to his deputy role, he also serves as Chairman of the BGN Verification Team, tasked with leading and coordinating the acceleration of verification and validation processes for the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme.
