Deputy Head of National Nutrition Agency Inspects Kendari SPPG and Emphasises SOP Compliance
Kendari — The Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Trenggono, inspected the SPPG Tipulu facility in West Kendari, Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi, to emphasise to workers the importance of complying with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in kitchen management.
“Follow the rules, follow the regulations. As long as you follow the rules and SOPs, it will certainly be safe,” said Trenggono in Kendari on Friday.
During the inspection, he directly examined several key facilities supporting kitchen operations, ranging from food preparation areas and cooking production rooms to storage areas and lunch box storage facilities.
“This step is being taken to ensure that the entire food preparation process meets hygienic and food safety standards,” he stated.
In addition to emphasising compliance among field officers, he also instructed BGN regional heads and area coordinators to tighten and increase the frequency of supervision across all operating SPPG kitchens.
He added that the field inspection of SPPG Tipulu is part of an effort to evaluate and ensure the readiness of the infrastructure supporting the national nutrition fulfilment programme in the Kendari City area.
In addition to the visit to SPPG Kendari, Trenggono also recently inaugurated SPPG Lalowaru in North Moramo District, South Konawe Regency, which serves 2,700 beneficiaries.
He stated that the SPPG is projected to meet the nutritional needs of students, toddlers, breastfeeding mothers, and pregnant women, particularly in the North Moramo District of South Konawe.
“This SPPG will serve 2,300 students, as well as approximately 400 individuals from the 3B group—toddlers, breastfeeding mothers, and pregnant women. So, a total of about 2,700 people,” Trenggono noted.
