Deputy Head of BGN Sony Sonjaya Denies Rumours of Attorney General's Office Raid

Sony stated he is still on duty and has just finished coordinating with the Polri MBG Task Force regarding alleged practices in the trading of nutrition service points (SPPG). “I am here today to address the matter and speak with colleagues,” Sony said when questioned by media at Polri’s Bareskrim on Monday (25 May). Previously, Attorney General’s Office Spokesperson Anang Supriatna denied rumours of a raid on the Deputy Head of BGN that had been circulating. “No,” Anang said when asked for confirmation on Thursday (21 May) evening. On Thursday evening when the rumours surfaced, the Attorney General’s Office held a press conference regarding developments in a corruption case handled by Jampidsus Kejagung. The press conference announced the suspect designation in a case involving alleged corruption in the management of mining permits (IUP) for PT Quality Success Sejahtera (QSS) in West Kalimantan between 2017 and 2025. The Attorney General’s Office named Sudianto (SDT), beneficial owner of PT QSS, as a suspect in the case.
