Banda Aceh (ANTARA) - Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah (Wamenhaj) Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak welcomed the return of flight group (Kloter) 14, the final batch of Acehnese Hajj pilgrims, at the Aceh Hajj Dormitory in Banda Aceh on Tuesday. “Today we receive 388 pilgrims from the final Aceh group, and God willing, they will soon return to their respective regions,” said Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak. Dahnil stated that with the return of Kloter 14, the Aceh embarkation has completed its service of receiving and repatriating 5,463 pilgrims. “Alhamdulillah, as of 30 June 2026, the Aceh Embarkation has officially completed its responsibility of dispatching, receiving, and repatriating over 5,000 Acehnese pilgrims,” he said. On the occasion, Dahnil expressed his condolences for the 19 Acehnese pilgrims who passed away, both in Saudi Arabia and in Indonesia, and prayed they attained a blessed Hajj. “May the deceased receive husnul khatimah and may their Hajj be accepted as mabrur and mabrurah,” he said. Dahnil also expressed appreciation and gratitude for the performance of all Aceh Hajj officers, whom he assessed had delivered the best service to the guests of Allah SWT. “Improving Hajj services is an important foundation for continuously enhancing the quality of Hajj operations in the years to come,” he said. Dahnil noted that the Indonesian government’s overall management of the 2026 Hajj season has reached its final stage, with only the return of the last domestic flight groups remaining. “The final Indonesian Hajj pilgrims will return to the country on 2 July 2026, arriving in Jakarta and Surabaya,” he said.
