Deputy Governor Erwan Urges West Java to Support 2026 Economic Census

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of West Java Province has commenced data collection for the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) by surveying Deputy Governor Erwan Setiawan at his official residence on Jalan Ciumbuleuit, Cidadap District, Bandung City. The enumeration is part of the SE2026 programme, which seeks to produce complete and accurate economic data to serve as a basis for formulating national and regional development policies. The activity also demonstrates the West Java Provincial Government’s support for the BPS census. The data collection was carried out by Field Examination Officer Ferendra Kusdwinuryanto Saputro and Field Enumeration Officer Ria Yunita Emkaen, accompanied by the Head of BPS West Java Province, Margaretha Ari Anggorowati. Following the interview, the process concluded with documentation at the Deputy Governor’s official residence and the placement of an SE2026 sticker to indicate the completion of data collection. Deputy Governor Erwan expressed his appreciation for the SE2026 implementation and urged the public, particularly business actors in West Java, to participate actively by providing truthful, complete, and honest data to BPS officers. ‘I invite the people of West Java to play an active role in this Economic Census for the improvement of the economy in West Java in particular and Indonesia in general,’ Erwan stated on Tuesday (7/7/2026). Through SE2026, BPS West Java is committed to delivering high-quality data that can be utilised for economic development planning, evaluation, and policymaking. Support from all levels of society is expected to produce more accurate statistics to drive inclusive and sustainable economic growth in West Java.
