Deputy Governor Erwan Urges West Java Residents to Participate in 2026 Economic Census

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) for West Java Province recently conducted a data collection session for the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) with the Deputy Governor of West Java, Erwan Setiawan, at his official residence in Bandung. This data collection is part of the SE2026 implementation, which aims to produce complete, accurate, and current economic data to serve as a basis for formulating various national and regional development policies.

This activity also serves as a demonstration of the West Java Provincial Government’s support for the BPS census implementation. The data collection process was carried out by Ferendra Kusdwinuryatic Saputro as a Field Inspection Officer (PML) and Ria Yunita Emkaen as a Field Data Collection Officer (PPL).

The Head of BPS West Java, Margaretha Ari Anggorowati, was present to accompany the data collection activity. Following the interview process, the session concluded with documentation at the Deputy Governor’s official residence and the placement of SE2026 stickers to signify the completion of the data collection.

Erwan expressed his appreciation for the implementation of SE2026. He urged the entire community, particularly business actors in West Java, to participate actively and provide correct, complete, and honest data to the BPS officers.

“I invite the people of West Java to play an active role in participating in this Economic Census for the sake of economic improvement in West Java specifically, and Indonesia in general,” Erwan stated on Tuesday, 7 July 2026.

Through SE2026, BPS West Java is committed to providing high-quality data that can be utilised as a basis for planning, evaluation, and economic development policy-making. Support from all levels of society, particularly in West Java, is expected to realise increasingly accurate statistical data to drive inclusive and sustainable economic growth in the province.
