Deputy Defence Minister Opens PFLP, Attended by 400 BUMN Employees with IQ Above 120
Deputy Minister of Defence (Wamenhan) Indonesia, Air Marshal (Ret.) Donny Ermawan Taufanto, opened the Presidential Future Leadership Program (PFLP) batch 1 of 2026 at the TNI Cadet Training and Education Center (Kodiklat) headquarters in Serpong, South Tangerang City, Banten, on Wednesday, 20 May 2026. The Deputy Head of the State-Owned Enterprise Supervisory Agency (BP BUMN), Tedi Bharata, attended to accompany the Deputy Minister.
According to observations at the scene, PFLP began with participants lining up on the field in green uniforms similar to those worn by the Cadre Component (Komcad). They then took part in the opening ceremony led by the Deputy Minister. After that, the Deputy Minister conducted a troop inspection as a sign that PFLP had begun.
“So PFLP, as I said earlier, these are generally BUMN employees who were recruited in 2025, with some recruited in 2026 as well,” Donny told reporters at the scene.
According to Donny, PFLP is attended by 400 new BUMN employees, comprising 272 men and 128 women. They were drawn from around 700 participants from various BUMN who have IQs above 120.
“I have already conveyed to the presidents directors of BUMN that this is a very valuable asset. Their IQ averages above 120, their intelligence is extraordinary. We will provide education, training, and character development. This will become a source of human capital to advance our BUMN in the future,” Donny said.
He explained that all PFLP participants will undertake a nine-month educational programme. Three months will involve specialised material at Kodiklat TNI. Specifically during the first three months, according to Donny, participants will receive education in character, nationalism, national awareness, discipline, and fighting spirit.
“Then four months later at Danantara Corporate University, and two months they will intern at several places, which we will decide,” he said.
