The Indonesian National Police (Polri) continues to strengthen infrastructure and personnel readiness in the regions. One such effort is the construction of the Brimob Command Headquarters (Mako) in Southeast Sulawesi, deemed strategic for maintaining security stability while supporting national development.

This initiative was marked by the inauguration of the Brimob Mako site and the handover of donated land, led directly by the Deputy Chief of Police, Commissioner General of Police Dedi Prasetyo, on Tuesday, 21 April 2026, in the Poros Kolaka-Kendari Road area, Kolaka Regency.

The construction benefited from support by the local government and private parties who donated land in several areas. In Kolaka Regency, a 10-hectare plot was prepared in Lamedai Village for the construction of the C Pelopor Battalion Mako. Meanwhile, in Konawe Regency, 8 hectares are available in Silea Village for the Mako of Company 3, C Pelopor Battalion. In Central Buton Regency, a 10-hectare land donation is located in Wakabanguna Village for the construction of the Mako of Company 3, B Pelopor Battalion.

The presence of this Brimob Mako is considered an important step in strengthening the state’s presence, particularly in safeguarding community security and escorting national strategic projects in the region.

“This land donation will be utilised for the construction of the Brimob Mako to strengthen the state’s presence in ensuring security and improving services for the surrounding community, while also supporting the security of National Strategic Projects in the Kolaka area, Southeast Sulawesi,” stated Dedi.

Additionally, Polri emphasises the importance of cross-sector synergy in creating a conducive situation, especially amid increasing development and investment activities in the region.

“Synergy between Polri, local government, and the business world is key. With strong collaboration, we can ensure that development runs safely, smoothly, and provides real benefits for the community,” he said.

With this construction, Polri hopes that the presence of Brimob in Southeast Sulawesi will be even more optimal in maintaining regional security, while accelerating support for various national development programmes in the area.
