Deputy Chief of Metro Jaya Police Officially Promoted to Inspector General

The Deputy Chief of Metro Jaya Police, Dekan_anto Eko Purwono, has officially been promoted to the two-star rank. Consequently, Dekananto now holds the rank of Police Inspector General (Irjen Pol).

The promotion is based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia (Keppres RI) Number 82/POLRI/YEAR 2026, dated 1 September 2026, regarding promotions within the ranks of the Indonesian National Police High-Ranking Officers.

In addition to the Deputy Chief of Metro Jaya Police, several key officials within the Metro Jaya Regional Police have also attained new ranks, including the Inspector of Internal Affairs (Irwasda) of Metro Jaya Police. Sri Satyatma, who currently serves as Irwasda, has been promoted to the rank of Police Brigadier General (Brigjen Pol).

The promotion ceremony was held at the National Police Headquarters on Jalan Trunojoyo, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (2/9/2026) morning, led directly by the Chief of the Indonesian National Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

Changes in rank also occurred within the Operations Bureau and the Head of the Planning Bureau (Karoren) of the Metro Jaya Regional Police. The Head of Operations for Metro Jaya Police, Laode Aries El Fathar, and the Head of Planning for Metro Jaya Police, Teguh Tri Sasongko, have both been promoted to the rank of Brigadier General.

These promotions are part of career development and organisational dynamics within the Indonesian National Police, serving as a mandate and responsibility to be carried out with increasing professionalism, integrity, and the provision of the best service to the public.

The officials will continue to perform their duties and responsibilities in their respective positions within the Metro Jaya Regional Police and are expected to continue strengthening organisational solidarity and improving the quality of service, protection, and guidance to the community.
