Deputy Chairman of the MPR Highlights the Importance of Vocational Training Institutions
Deputy Chairman of the MPR RI, Lestari Moerdijat (Rerie), spoke about the importance of vocational training institutions (LKP). According to her, this is part of the effort to improve the quality of the national human resources.
“I appreciate the existence of vocational training institutions that are able to provide solutions to the problems faced by children who drop out of school,” said Rerie in a statement on Thursday (26/2/2026).
She made these remarks while receiving the management of the Forum of Vocational Training Institution Managers (LKP) of Jepara Regency, in Jepara, Central Java, on Thursday (26/2).
According to the member of Commission X of the DPR RI, the presence of LKPs in several regions is able to open up opportunities for out-of-school children to gain the skills needed in the world of work.
Rerie believes that the various efforts undertaken by LKPs are one of the effective ways to improve the skills of the community and solve the workforce problems faced by the nation.
“This is a real contribution from the managers of LKPs to prepare every child of the nation to welcome the 100th anniversary of Indonesia’s independence, Golden Indonesia 2045,” said the legislator from the II Electoral District of Central Java.
With improved skills, she added, the member of the High Council of the NasDem Party provides opportunities for the next generation to play a greater role for the country in order to realise an advanced and competitive Indonesian nation.
