Deputy Chair of DPR Commission VIII Urges Madrasah Teacher Allowances to Be Paid Before Eid al-Fitr
Deputy Chair of Commission VIII of the House of Representatives, Abidin Fikri, has called on the government to disburse professional allowances (TPG) to madrasah teachers before Eid al-Fitr 2026. He stated that the welfare of madrasah teachers is the responsibility of the central government through the state budget.
“Delays in paying TPG to madrasah teachers risk triggering social unrest if teachers’ rights are not prioritised on time before Eid,” said Abidin Fikri to journalists on Monday (9 March 2026).
Abidin, a legislator from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), noted that during constituency visits, madrasah teachers complained about delayed and untimely TPG payments. He has urged the Ministry of Religious Affairs to accelerate verification of Simpatika system data so that 405,438 madrasah teachers can receive their monthly allowances without waiting for Eid to arrive.
“Commission VIII will not remain silent; we will oversee ensuring madrasah teachers’ rights are fulfilled on time before Eid, preventing demonstrations everywhere due to this injustice,” he asserted.
Previously, the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) provided assurance regarding the disbursement of professional allowances (TPG) to madrasah teachers. The disbursement will be carried out in stages beginning the first week of March 2026.
The Director General of Islamic Education (Dirjen Pendis) Amien Suyitno stated that his office had received instructions from Religious Affairs Minister Nasaruddin Umar. The minister has ordered acceleration of the process for issuing Eligibility Analysis Decision Letters for Allowance Recipients (SKAKPT).
“In accordance with the Religious Affairs Minister Nasaruddin Umar’s directive, we continue to accelerate the process of issuing SKAKPT so that madrasah teachers’ rights can be received immediately,” he stated.
The SKAKPT is a document confirming that a madrasah teacher’s TPG is eligible for disbursement because administrative requirements have been met. This document serves as evidence of data validation issued through the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ Simpatika system.
With accelerated issuance of SKAKPT, TPG can be promptly transferred to the individual bank accounts of each madrasah teacher. Amien Suyitno confirmed that the allowance disbursement process has already commenced in the first week of March 2026.
