According to Rano, this step represents a concrete measure to maintain professionalism and accountability in law enforcement.
“Commission III of the DPR RI has previously conveyed several recommendations that must be followed up seriously, including requesting the Deputy Attorney General for Supervision to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the case handling, investigate allegations of intimidation against Mr Amsal Christy Sitepu, and delve into allegations of procedural violations, including the failure to establish a panel of judges and efforts to form an inappropriate public opinion regarding the position of the DPR RI,” Rano stated to reporters on Sunday (5/4/2026).
He noted that Commission III also encouraged the Indonesian Prosecutors’ Commission to conduct an examination as part of a comprehensive evaluation of the institution’s performance. Commission III supports Kejagung in enforcing internal discipline.
“We appreciate the progressive steps taken by the Attorney General’s Office in listening to and following up on Commission III’s recommendations.
