Depraved! Quran Teacher Allegedly Molests Student in Bogor

A minor has allegedly become a victim of sexual abuse by a Quran teacher in Parung, Bogor. The victim’s parents have reported the case to the police.

“(The victim) is still underage. (The suspect) is a Quran teacher,” said Parung Police Chief Kompol Maman Firmansyah to reporters on Sunday (12/7/2026).

Firmansyah stated that the perpetrator was reported by the victim’s parents on Saturday (11/7). The victim has also currently undergone an examination by the PPA/PPO unit of the Bogor Police.

“The police report was received and processed by SPKT officers, after which the victim and the victim’s parents underwent examination by investigators from the PPA Unit of the Bogor Police Criminal Investigation Division in accordance with applicable procedures,” said Firmansyah.

The alleged molestation case is still being handled by the PPO Unit of the Bogor Police. The police will also conduct a post-mortem examination on the victim to strengthen the evidence of the alleged molestation committed by the perpetrator.

Firmansyah added that the police are also investigating the possibility of other victims in this case. Residents who believe they have also become victims are urged to report it.

“We urge the public not to hesitate to report any suspected criminal acts of sexual violence. The victim’s identity will be protected in accordance with statutory provisions, and the Indonesian National Police will provide assistance from the reporting stage until the legal process runs its course,” said Firmansyah.
