Depok squalor

Depok squalor

From Neraca

The bus terminal in Depok, West Java, is very busy. Unfortunately, in the wake of the rainy season the place has become very dirty and disgusting. What happens to the fees collected every day from the drivers each time they enter the terminal? Not to mention the fees paid by the vendors in and around the terminal.

Why not let the vendors put their garbage in large plastic bags and be exempted from paying fees? Someone must be held responsible for the consistent implementation of a cleanliness program. If this does not work, let the concerned staff in the terminal resign from their jobs. Many will be quite ready to take their place, as unemployment is still high.

Slums are also found in many other areas in Depok -- in the railway terminal, Jl. Proklamasi and in the market. All these places call for the attention of the mayor of Depok. Please do something!
