Depok Residents Can Receive Home Improvement Assistance, Here Are the 9 Criteria
Depok City Government through the Housing and Settlement Agency (Disrumkim) is once again implementing the Unfit House (RTLH) repair programme in 2026. This year, 787 house units have been proposed to receive renovation assistance.
However, not all submissions are automatically approved. Depok City Government has set several requirements that prospective aid recipients must meet to ensure the programme targets the right people.
Head of Depok City’s Disrumkim, Adnan Mahyudin, stated that verification is conducted directly in the field by the technical team.
“Before assistance is given, we carry out verification to assess the level of damage and the legality of the houses of prospective beneficiaries,” said Adnan on Wednesday (6/5/2026), quoted from the official Depok City Government website.
Adnan explained that the amount of RTLH assistance this year remains the same as the previous year, namely Rp 23 million per unit.
The breakdown consists of Rp 20 million for purchasing building materials and Rp 3 million for labour wages.
According to him, the assistance is expected to help low-income communities obtain more decent and healthy housing.
Adnan said the number of prospective aid recipients may still change because the verification process is ongoing.
According to him, there are several factors that can cause RTLH aid applications to be rejected.
“There are also houses that, upon inspection, turn out to be in good condition because they have been repaired previously,” he explained.
In addition, applications can be rejected if the house has already been sold or has received similar assistance in the last three years.
Through the Self-Financed Housing Stimulus Assistance (BSPS) programme from the APBN, there is additional assistance for 273 house units. Meanwhile, the Tzu Chi Indonesia Foundation is also providing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) support for 500 house units.
Although from different budget sources, Disrumkim still monitors the implementation of all these programmes.
“Our focus is on RTLH from the APBD, while continuing to monitor developments from other sources. Hopefully, this assistance will be beneficial and can improve the economic level of the recipient community,” Adnan concluded.
