The Depok City Transportation Department (Dishub) continues to enhance student transportation services through the operation of free school buses. Head of the Transportation Division at Dishub Depok, Aan Syurahman, stated that the department currently has two school bus units, with one already active in serving students. “Currently, there is one unit actively serving schoolchildren around Depok 1 and Lembah Gurame,” he said, quoted from an official statement on Wednesday (13/5/2026). In the near future, Dishub plans to operate an additional school bus unit to expand the service coverage. This programme is also being expanded with the addition of new routes to support safe, comfortable, and orderly student mobility. “It is planned that in the near future, another unit will be activated to serve the route from Kalibaru to Depok Timur or Depok 2,” he explained. The route starts from the Dishub office (Jl. Abdul Gani), then proceeds to Jl. Dimun Raya, Tol Cijago or nearby main road access, Jl. Bahagia Raya, Jl. Proklamasi, Jl. Kemakmuran Raya, to Jl. Merdeka. The bus then continues to Jl. Bahagia Baru, Lindri Giri, Waru Jaya, Jl. Sentosa, Jl. Proklamasi, back to Jl. Kemakmuran Raya, Jl. Merdeka, and ends at the depot (pool). “With the addition of this new route, it is hoped that more students in Depok City can benefit from the free school bus service,” he added.
