Depok Mayor: Kadin plays important role in boosting economic growth

Depok Mayor Supian Suri has stated that the role of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) in the business sector plays a major part in boosting regional economic growth.

“I extend my deepest gratitude to the Kadin board from 1999 to 2026, who have contributed greatly to improving the economy of the people of Depok City,” said Supian Suri in Depok on Monday.

According to him, the contribution of the business world has also supported the improvement in the quality of human development in Depok City.

Supian explained that there are three main indicators measuring the achievement of the Human Development Index (IPM), namely health, education, and the economy.

He assessed that entrepreneurs in Depok City have helped to support these three aspects through various contributions to the community.

This achievement is also reflected in Depok City’s IPM, which ranks third in West Java Province.

Going forward, in carrying out his leadership together with Deputy Mayor of Depok, Chandra Rahmansyah, Supian hopes that Kadin Depok City can continue to synergise with the government to provide benefits for the community.

“We have great hopes for the residents of Depok, with the kindness shown by entrepreneurs who are members of Kadin. I am sure that your presence here is none other than to spread kindness to the residents,” he said.
