Depok Mayor Appreciates Metro Jaya Police Chief for Clean Water Facility in Bojongsari

The Metro Jaya Police have built a clean water facility and distributed social assistance for residents of Bojongsari, Depok City, West Java. Depok Mayor Supian Suri expressed his appreciation for the initiative. ‘Today is a very happy day with the Metro Jaya Police Chief, Commissioner General Asep Edi Suheri, who, thank God, in the context of the 80th Bhayangkara Anniversary, has provided support to the residents of Bojongsari in the form of clean water and social service,’ Supian said on his Instagram account @bangsupians on Thursday (25/6/2026). The inauguration of the clean water facility and the distribution of social assistance took place on Wednesday (24/6) in Kampung Parung Tengah Gang Makam RT 03/03, Duren Mekar Village, Bojongsari District, Depok City. Supian hopes the facility will be maintained together so that it can continue to benefit the public. ‘For the contribution given to the residents of Duren Mekar, Bojongsari District, in the form of clean water infrastructure, and thank God there is also a social service activity carried out in the context of the 80th Bhayangkara Anniversary,’ he said. ‘The presence of this facility is a real solution that has a significant impact, especially in helping to meet the basic needs of 815 residents there,’ he added. On the same occasion, Metro Jaya Police Chief Commissioner General Asep Edi Suheri stated that the clean water facility was built as a manifestation of the National Police’s commitment to providing benefits to the community. He advised Depok residents to maintain unity among themselves. ‘My message to the residents of Depok is, most importantly, protect Depok, protect the environment, protect the residents, protect the rules, and protect the mandate given by the community,’ said Commissioner General Asep. He invited all parties to maintain security and public order. He also urged residents to continue to maintain synergy with the police. ‘I hope the residents of Depok will be more united and work hand in hand, have a sense of belonging to one another, and most importantly, the residents of Depok must be prosperous and, of course, support the police, the Depok Resort Police and its ranks, so that we continue to synergise, because our presence in Depok is for the beloved residents of Depok,’ he said. The Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Chief Commissioner Budi Hermanto, previously stated that the activity was held to commemorate the 80th Bhayangkara Day in 2026. He said this social action is a manifestation of the National Police’s commitment as a public servant. ‘This clean water facility is a form of the Metro Jaya Police’s concern for the community. We hope its presence can help meet the residents’ need for clean water, as well as support health and environmental sanitation,’ said Chief Commissioner Budi in a statement on Wednesday (24/6). He said the clean water facility was built as a form of the Metro Jaya Police’s concern for the community’s basic needs, especially for residents who have been experiencing difficulties in accessing clean water in the Bojongsari area. The clean water facility is intended for residents of RW 03, which consists of RT 01 to RT 05, and RW 04, which consists of RT 01 and RT 02. The total number of beneficiaries is estimated at 815 people, and the water can be used for household needs, places of worship, educational facilities, and other public facilities. The construction of the facility includes well drilling, water pump installation, construction of a water tank tower, installation of distribution networks, public service taps, supporting electrical systems, and environmental arrangement.
