Depok Manpower Office Opens Japan Internship Programme for 2027
The Depok City Manpower Office (Disnaker) in West Java is preparing an internship programme to Japan for 2027, aiming to open up overseas work opportunities for local residents. “This programme will be opened again in 2027. The quota we prepare will be adjusted, but the government will certainly provide assistance to Depok residents who wish to participate in the overseas internship programme,” said Nessi Annisa Handari, Head of the Depok City Manpower Office, on Friday. Nessi explained that successful participants will work in Japan under an internship scheme with a three-year contract. Prior to departure, participants will receive four months of intensive training. “The internship in Japan is typically contracted for three years. They go there to work, not to study, so they are equipped with four months of training beforehand to ensure they are ready to enter the workforce,” she stated. She noted that Japan remains the primary destination for such programmes, although the office is also exploring placements in other countries through various collaborations, including the Depok Maju Go Global programme. Nessi also reminded job seekers to monitor the official social media channels of the Depok City Manpower Office and the Depok City Government for the latest information on this programme and other job opportunities. Furthermore, she urged the public to make use of the ‘Ayo Gawe’ digital platform managed by the office. “Please join the Ayo Gawe website. Currently, around 130 companies are registered there, and we display all job vacancy information on the platform,” she said.
