Depok Manpower Office Opens Japan Internship Programme for 2027

The Depok Manpower Office (Disnaker) in West Java is preparing an internship programme to Japan for the year 2027, aimed at opening opportunities for Depok residents to work abroad.

“This programme will reopen in 2027. The quota we prepare will be adjusted accordingly, but what is certain is that the government will provide assistance to Depok residents who wish to participate in overseas internship programmes,” said the Head of the Depok Manpower Office, Nessi Annisa Handari, in Depok on Friday.

Nessi explained that participants who pass the programme will work in Japan through an internship scheme with a contract period of three years. Before being sent abroad, participants will receive intensive training for four months.

“Internships in Japan usually involve a three-year contract. They go there to work, not just to study, so they are equipped with four months of training beforehand to ensure they are ready to enter the workforce,” she said.

Nessi added that the programme is open to Depok residents from various educational backgrounds and disciplines. In this regard, Nessi explained that Japan remains the primary destination for the internship programme.

Nevertheless, the Manpower Office continues to explore opportunities for labour placement in other countries through various collaborations, including the ‘Depok Maju Go Global’ programme.

Furthermore, Nessi reminded the public to continuously monitor the official social media accounts of the Depok Manpower Office and the Depok City Government to receive the latest information regarding this programme and other job opportunities.

Additionally, job seekers are encouraged to utilise the ‘Ayo Gawe’ platform managed by the Depok Manpower Office.

“Please join the Ayo Gawe website. Currently, there are approximately 130 companies registered, and all job vacancy information is displayed there,” Nessi concluded.
