Depok Husband Assaults Wife Over Motorcycle Key, Victim Reports to Police

Personnel from the Cinere Police Station’s SPKT unit responded swiftly to a public complaint via the 110 hotline, led by Aiptu Eko. Officers immediately proceeded to the scene at Pulo Mangga II, Grogol Village, Limo District, Depok City, on Saturday (23 May 2026).

Cinere Police Chief Kompol Chairul Saleh stated on Sunday (24 May) that the victim, a woman identified as LA, reported her husband, identified as H.

The couple initially argued over the motorcycle key. According to initial investigations, the domestic dispute was triggered by a minor issue that escalated into physical violence.

‘It was revealed that the suspect (H) had recently returned home after being absent for three consecutive months,’ he said.

The suspect attempted to use the victim’s motorcycle, but she refused to hand over the key.

‘The victim’s refusal provoked the suspect’s anger, leading to a scuffle and struggle over the key,’ he added.

As a result of the altercation, the victim sustained superficial wounds on two fingers of her left hand.

‘After being calmed and advised by Aiptu Eko at the scene, the victim decided to pursue legal action against her husband,’ he said.

The alleged domestic violence case has now been referred to the Depok Metropolitan Police’s Women and Children’s Service Unit (PPA) for further investigation and handling.
