“(The flood was triggered by) the overflow of Kali Angke, water sent from Bogor. It has now subsided,” said the Head of the Disaster Management Division of the Depok City Fire and Rescue Service, Denny Romulo Hutauruk, on Tuesday (19 May 2026).

Fire Department officers in Depok have checked the flood location in the housing complex located in Kelurahan Duren Mekar, Bojongsari, Depok. According to the RW 05 administrator, the flood was reported to have subsided around 09:15 WIB.

The water level (TMA) of the flood briefly reached 70 centimetres. Hundreds of families were affected by the flood.

“Floods up to 50 cm to 70 cm with the number of affected from RT 02, RT 03, RT 04, RT 05, RT 06, RT 10, and RT 12, with a total of 350 households,” he said.

In addition to the flood, a landslide occurred in Depok, namely at Kali Tiga Putra, located in Meruyung Village, Limo Sub-district. Officers from the Depok Dinas PUPR attended the site to address the landslide.

“Satgas is handling the landslide at Kali Tiga Putra,” according to a statement from Depok’s Dinas PUPR on the Instagram account @dinaspupr_depok.

The landslide occurred on the retaining wall or concrete wall of Kali Tiga Putra. Officers cleaned the wall that had collapsed and replaced it with rock gabions.

“The retaining wall that collapsed was due to its condition being already fragile, so the soil and rocks moved to a lower place,” he said.

The retaining wall that collapsed was around 15 metres long and 5 metres deep. Officers dismantled and cleaned the material of the collapsed wall. Rock gabions were installed to hold the soil in place so the landslide would not spread.
