Depok City's Maung Team Secures Man With Mental Health Condition Who Shattered a Resident's Car Window

Maung Asri, the Tim Manusia Unggul, Aman, Sehat, Resik, dan Indah of the Depok City Government, secured a man with a mental health disorder who had been causing alarm among residents on Jalan Arief Rahman Hakim, Depok. The individual is said to have previously smashed a residents car window.

The person was secured on Thursday, 5 March 2026. Initially, the Maung team received a report from residents via Beji sub-district head regarding the disturbing person in the area.

“The report we received indicates that among the disturbing actions by the ODGJ was breaking a residents car window,” Tri Sakti Anggoro, head of the Maung team, told reporters on Friday, 6 March 2026.

The team, comprising personnel from various Depok city agencies, then patrolled the location. After conducting identification, Maung contacted the relevant agencies—Satpol PP, Puskesmas, and Dinsos—to coordinate a joint response.

“We handled the case by procedural evacuation, and transported the person to RSJ Marzuki Mahdi Bogor for treatment,” Anggoro said.

Meanwhile, the village administration and the social services agency conducted a search for the ODGJs family. The Maung team thanked residents for their active role in reporting the incident.

“God willing, we will follow up on every report we receive, implement the follow-up actions, and report the results of the handling openly on social media channels,” he concluded.
