Depok City Government Mentors and Curates SME Fashion Products

The Trade and Industry Office (Disdagin) of Depok City, together with the Regional National Crafts Council (Dekranasda), is continuously mentoring and curating fashion products from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to make them more highly competitive. Head of Disdagin Depok City, Widyati Riyandani, stated on Monday that the activity is a follow-up to a curation programme for hundreds of SME products in the fashion and handicraft sectors conducted last year. Through coaching, business actors are equipped with mental strengthening, business management, and marketing strategies. “We hope business actors will continue to move up in class, from the beginner category to intermediate, and then to advanced through a continuous process of coaching and evaluation,” she said. She added that Disdagin and Dekranasda will continue to provide mentoring and curation so that more Depok SME products can penetrate regional, national, and global markets. At this inspirational seminar and technical workshop, Disdagin presented expert speakers to improve the quality of local Depok products. “We hope Depok SME products will continue to develop and have competitiveness, thus opening up wider market opportunities,” she said. One of the coaching efforts undertaken by the Depok City Government is increasing the capacity of SME actors through a seminar and workshop titled Depok Ruang Kreasi, which was held on Saturday and Sunday, 21-22 June 2026, at Alun-alun Timur Depok City.
