Depok City Government has confirmed that the Car Free Day (CFD) event will proceed as planned this weekend (31 May 2026), despite coinciding with the extended public holidays for Idul Adha and Waisak. According to Depok City Government, the CFD will run as usual from 06:00 to 09:00 WIB. Residents can utilise the vehicle-free zone along Margonda Raya Road for exercise and to access various public services. As in previous events, the Margonda Raya Road section will be closed to motor vehicles during the activity. The area serves as an open space for the public to engage in healthy activities, including walking, jogging, cycling, and group exercises with family. Beyond being a venue for exercise, the CFD also fosters social interaction and community economic empowerment. Various micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM) typically participate by offering a range of food products, household items, and fashion goods. This time, the public can access the ‘Immigration for the People’ service from the Depok Immigration Office at Depok Open Space (DOS). The service handles electronic passport applications and replacements with limited slots available through the M-Paspor app registration.
