Depok CFD Not Held Today, Eid al-Fitr Holiday 2026

JAKARTA – The Car Free Day (CFD) or Vehicle-Free Day (HBKB) activity in Depok City remains suspended on Sunday (22/3/2026).

This decision is in connection with the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah holiday period, which falls on Saturday (21/3/2026).

Secretary of the Depok City Transportation Agency, Nita Hernita, hopes that this step can provide leeway for the public in experiencing the 2026 Eid moment.

“In connection with preparations and celebrations of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah, the Depok City Car Free Day activity is temporarily suspended,” Nita said in her statement quoted on Saturday.

According to her, the Eid period is synonymous with increased public activities, both for socialising, homecoming travels, or family activities, so CFD is temporarily cancelled.

The Transportation Agency also conveyed appreciation to the public who have actively participated in the CFD activity in Depok City.

“We express our thanks for the attention and participation of the public in supporting the Car Free Day activity in Depok City,” she said.

“Happy Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah. Please forgive my physical and spiritual shortcomings,” Nita said.
