The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) states that hajj officials who will begin departing for the Holy Land for the 1447 Hijriah/2026 CE hajj pilgrimage are being prepared to form contingency or emergency schemes. “Clearly, the hajj officials will be prepared with contingency schemes. That is, emergency schemes,” said Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak at the Pondok Gede Hajj Hostel in Jakarta on Friday (17/4/2026). Dahnil explained that the first batch of flying group (Kloter) officials to depart are dominated by the jamaah protection team (Linjam). This team will be the frontline in ensuring the safety and comfort of pilgrims while in Saudi Arabia. According to him, the composition of the Linjam team comes from various elements, starting from TNI and Polri. In addition to Linjam, the departing officials include support staff, a media centre consisting of journalists, and officials placed at the airport. “The majority of those departing first are the Linjam team. They consist of TNI, Polri, then there are journalist colleagues who are also on duty and colleagues on duty at the airport,” he said. Dahnil emphasised that the presence of this team is very important in supporting the implementation of the contingency plan if emergency conditions occur in the field. “So indeed, for the contingency plan or in case of emergencies later there, the team will be prepared,” he said. The government ensures that all dispatched officials have received briefing and training to carry out their duties optimally in providing services to Indonesian prospective hajj pilgrims.
