Denying DJKA Corruption Proceeds, Gus Miftah Ready to Return Rp 100 Million
Gus Miftah has said he is ready to return Rp 100 million if it is proven he received it, as stated during the trial of the alleged corruption case involving the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) at Semarang District Court on Monday (13 July). He also insisted he does not know the witness who mentioned his name in the trial.
Gus Miftah’s name was mentioned by Dheky Martin, the committing officer (PPK) for the Solo-Semarang double-track railway project, while testifying as a witness. Gus Miftah was alleged to have received Rp 100 million.
In a post on his Gus Miftah Official YouTube account, the preacher denied the allegation and asserted he did not know Dheky. He said he had not received any money from Dheky, but if money had indeed been handed over at his Islamic boarding school, he would be prepared to return it.
“I don’t know him, but maybe I’ve forgotten — it’s a boarding school, people come and say, ‘Gus, I’d like to make a donation to the school,’ for example. I wouldn’t know about that,” Gus Miftah said in the video, which detikJogja was permitted to quote.
“But as far as I remember, I don’t know the name Dheky Martin, and I didn’t know I was given anything. As far as I recall, I never received anything. But once again I say, if he ever gave something to the school, I will return it,” he insisted.
As previously reported by detikJateng, KPK public prosecutors also revealed the alleged flow of funds to Gus Miftah during the trial of suspended Pati Regent Sudewo. The alleged fund flow was disclosed by one of the witnesses.
“(Is it true there is information about a flow of DJKA corruption money to Gus Miftah?) Yes. That information yesterday came from the testimony of witness Dheky Martin, who served as PPK for work packages JGSS 1-5,” Greafik told detikJateng on Wednesday (15 July 2026).
“Yesterday we all heard that in his position he received sums of money from various contractors,” he continued.
He said prosecutors had asked, based on the case file (BAP), whether money from the contractors had been channelled to various parties, including Gus Miftah. According to him, Dheky admitted the money was also channelled to various activities unrelated to the BTPK 1 Semarang project.
“We obtained information that the money flowed to various parties, one of them being Gus Miftah, with a value of around Rp 100 million,” he disclosed.
“We cannot yet confirm whether that money actually reached the person concerned (Gus Miftah) from Dheky Martin,” he added.
