Denver art mission tours

PALANGKARAYA, Central Kalimantan: The Denver Cultural Exchange Council from the United States began its tour of the province yesterday seeking input about the art and cultural life here.

The seven-member mission would also take a close look at the daily life of the native Dayak people, Antara reported.

Chief of the provincial tourism office Erens Patianom said the mission would hopefully lead to a cultural exchange program between the state of Colorado, where Denver is located, and Central Kalimantan.

"This province and the Dayak people are rich in cultural heritage that must be shared with the world," he said. (swe)
