Dental Clinic Nurse Stabbed by Patient in Tangerang
A nurse at King Dental Clinic on Jalan Raya Regency in Periuk District, Tangerang City, was stabbed by a suspected patient on Saturday (30 May) afternoon. The victim, named Vero, sustained five stab wounds across various parts of the body and required intensive hospital care due to significant blood loss. The suspect, identified as MA, was detained by locals before being handed over to police.
The stabbing was captured on the clinic’s CCTV footage, showing staff panicking after hearing the victim’s cries for help, with the suspect seen pacing while holding a knife shortly after the incident. The victim’s screams drew the attention of nearby residents, who assisted in restraining the suspect until police arrived.
Deputy Head of Jatiuwung Police Station, AKP Yoto, stated that the suspect had initially come to the clinic for a dental scaling procedure. After the treatment was completed, the suspect requested to use the toilet and was escorted by the victim. As the victim approached, the suspect allegedly pulled a knife from his bag and repeatedly stabbed her.
“The stabbing case is being handled and is still under investigation. The suspect came to the dental clinic for a scaling procedure, then requested to be escorted to the toilet before immediately stabbing the nurse,” Yoto said.
According to Yoto, the victim suffered five stab wounds across both arms, back, abdomen, and shoulder. “Based on the victim’s condition, there are five stab wounds. We are still investigating,” he added.
