The Indonesian National Police’s Densus 88 unit has arrested two men suspected of terrorism in Palar Village, Klaten, Central Java. Police also searched the suspects’ rented houses and seized several pieces of evidence.

“The items taken include one tablet, two mobile phones, and seven books related to the suspects’ activities,” said the Head of Village Administration for Palar, Trucuk District, Didit Agung Prihantode, as reported on Saturday (3/10/2026).

Didit stated that he accompanied the Densus 88 team during the search of the rented house occupied by a man with the initials N. A total of 12 personnel conducted the search at the location.

“The suspect has been renting there for about two years. They rarely interacted with others; they only went out to shop or work,” he added.

The Head of Social Welfare for Palar Village, Pandu Wiratana Dwi Prasetyo, noted that he was also requested by another team to accompany the search of a rented house occupied by a man with the initials Y. Officers only seized a hard drive from that location.

“Only the hard drive was taken. They are not locals; their family registration is from Boyolali,” said Pandu.
