Three individuals suspected of involvement in a terrorist network in the Parigi Moutong and Poso regencies, Central Sulawesi, have been arrested by personnel from the National Police’s Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-Terrorism unit, alongside the Brimob Unit of the Central Sulawesi Regional Police.

“Yes, it is true that on Friday (2/10), there were arrests of three terror suspects in two different locations,” stated the Head of Public Relations of the Central Sulawesi Regional Police, Kombes Pol Achmad Muhaimin, in a statement on Sunday (4/10).

Two terror suspects were apprehended in Tomoli Utara Village, Toribulu District, Parigi Moutong Regency, while one other person was detained in the Poso Regency area.

“The two terror suspects secured in Parigi Moutong are identified by the initials A and CG, while the other suspect arrested in Poso is identified as S,” he revealed.

According to Kombes Achmad Muhaimin, the arrests are still undergoing further investigation by the Densus 88 Anti-Terrorism unit.

“The team is currently conducting further developments to ascertain more details regarding the suspected terrorist network affiliations of these three individuals,” he explained.

Achmad Muhaimin urged all elements of society to remain calm and to help maintain a conducive security situation by acting as partners to security forces and providing information if any suspicious activities are detected.

“If you see suspicious individuals in your surrounding environment, please report them immediately to the authorities,” he added.
