Densus 88 Arrests Suspected Terrorist in Ciamis, West Java

The Indonesian National Police’s Densus 88 Anti-terror unit has arrested a man identified by the initials AR in Ciamis Regency, West Java. The arrest took place on Monday (20/7/2026) at approximately 06.00 WIB in Sukaharja Village, Rajadesa District. During the operation, Densus 88 was accompanied by personnel from the Ciamis Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim). Ciamis Police Criminal Investigation Head AKP Carsono confirmed the operation, stating that officers secured one individual, AR, a resident of Sukaharja Village. During a search of the location, officers seized several items believed to be related to the investigation, including books, written documents, and the suspect’s mobile phone. AKP Carsono emphasised that the full investigation process is being handled entirely by Densus 88, and local police are therefore unable to provide further details regarding the suspect’s alleged network or the origins of the case.
