Spokesperson for Densus 88 AT Polri, Kombes Mayndra Eka Wardhana, stated that the arrest operation was conducted in the early hours from approximately 01:30 to 03:30 WITA. They were apprehended in Poso Regency and Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi.

“Densus 88 AT Polri has carried out law enforcement activities against eight individuals from the Jamaah Ansharut Daulah network, which is affiliated with the global ISIS network, in the Central Sulawesi Province,” said Mayndra Eka Wardhana in his statement on Wednesday (6/4/2026).

The eight arrested individuals are:

  1. R (32), arrested in Poso Regency, Central Sulawesi

  2. AT (29), arrested in Poso Regency, Central Sulawesi

  3. RP (32), arrested in Poso Regency, Central Sulawesi

  4. ZA (37), arrested in Poso Regency, Central Sulawesi

  5. A (43), arrested in Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi

  6. A (46), arrested in Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi

  7. S (47), arrested in Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi

  8. DP (39), arrested in Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi

Mayndra stated that based on investigations and inquiries, the eight suspects are suspected of being involved in disseminating terrorist propaganda through social media. They used social media to upload and share content in the form of images, writings, or videos related to radical ideologies and terrorism.

“In addition to digital propaganda activities, the suspects are also suspected of being involved in various other terrorist activities, which are currently being further investigated by the investigators,” he explained.

He added that Densus 88 AT Polri is continuing to develop and deepen the investigation into the eight suspects. This is an effort by Polri to prevent terrorist ideologies in society.

“This operation is part of the ongoing efforts by the apparatus to prevent the spread of radical ideologies and maintain national security stability from the threat of terrorist crimes,” he revealed.
