Denpasar Police Confiscate 26 Motorbikes in Crackdown on Illegal Exhausts and Missing Plates

The Traffic Unit (Satlantas) of the Denpasar Police conducted a patrol targeting illegal street racing and motorcycle exhausts on Saturday night (8/8/2026), resulting in the seizure of 26 vehicles for using noisy ‘brong’ exhausts or lacking registration plates. The operation took place along Jalan Sunset Road to the Ngurah Rai Bypass in Suwung Kauh Hamlet, Pemogan Village, Denpasar, lasting approximately five hours from 9 p.m. WITA on Saturday until 2 a.m. WITA on Sunday. Denpasar Police Traffic Chief Kompol Mohammad Bhayangkara stated that 16 motorcycles were confiscated for using exhausts that did not meet technical specifications, while the remaining 10 were seized for not displaying registration plates. Bhayangkara explained that the patrol was part of the unit’s efforts to maintain traffic security and prevent illegal street racing.
