Denpasar People's Festival Offers Entertainment and MSME Bazaar

The People’s Festival Nobar Bola Gembira officially opened at I Gusti Ngurah Made Agung Field in Denpasar on Wednesday, presenting a variety of entertainment, social services, and an MSME bazaar as an effort to strengthen togetherness and drive the community’s economy. The festival was opened directly by the Commander of the IX/Udayana Regional Military Command, Major General TNI Piek Budyakto. The programme, initiated by the Indonesian Armed Forces Headquarters, is the result of a collaboration between the IX/Udayana Regional Military Command, the Public Broadcasting Institution TVRI, and the Bali Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN). In addition to watching a football match together, the public could enjoy various activities such as an MSME bazaar, blood donation, free health checks, interactive games, a children’s playground, a display of Indonesian Armed Forces weaponry, musical entertainment, Bondresan performances, performances by local Balinese bands, E-Sport competitions, Zumba, and Yoga. The Chairperson of the Bali Provincial KADIN, I Made Ariandi, stated that his party facilitated around 100 MSME players to participate in the festival. The presence of these business players is expected to increase economic turnover while expanding the promotion of local Balinese products. Denpasar Mayor I Gusti Ngurah Jaya Negara appreciated the organisation of the People’s Festival Nobar Bola Gembira. According to the Mayor, this activity serves as a platform to strengthen the relationship between the Indonesian Armed Forces, the regional government, and the community, while simultaneously encouraging MSME empowerment. Meanwhile, the Commander of IX/Udayana Regional Military Command, Major General TNI Piek Budyakto, expressed his gratitude to all parties who supported the festival’s implementation and appreciated the enthusiasm of the attending public. According to the Commander, the People’s Festival is a means to strengthen social ties, reinforce unity and integrity, and inspire the younger generation to love sports and participate in national development. “This festival is not just about providing entertainment through watching football together, but it is also a platform for empowering the people’s economy through the presence of MSMEs fostered by KADIN Bali and the Denpasar City Government. On the other hand, the various cultural art performances presented are a form of shared commitment to preserving local culture amidst the spirit of unity,” said the Commander. He emphasised that the festival not only provides entertainment through watching football together but also serves as a platform for people’s economic empowerment through MSMEs fostered by KADIN Bali and the Denpasar City Government, as well as a space for preserving local arts and culture. The Commander also invited the public to maintain harmony, strengthen the spirit of mutual cooperation, and uphold sportsmanship in community life. Furthermore, the IX/Udayana Regional Military Command will continue to strengthen synergy with the Indonesian National Police, regional governments, and all elements of society to create a safe, orderly, and conducive situation during the activities. The opening of the People’s Festival Nobar Bola Gembira was also attended by the Bali Province Regional Leadership Coordination Forum, the Mayor of Denpasar, the Chief of Staff of the IX/Udayana Regional Military Command, the Inspector of the IX/Udayana Regional Military Command, the Commander of the 163/Wira Satya Military Resort, and other principal officials of the IX/Udayana Regional Military Command. Through this festival, the IX/Udayana Regional Military Command hopes to create a healthy entertainment space for the public while strengthening the unity between the Indonesian Armed Forces and the people, encouraging regional economic growth through MSMEs, and reinforcing the spirit of unity and nationalism.
