The plenary meeting of the Denpasar City DPRD on Friday (10/7/2026) ran one and a half hours late. The meeting, originally scheduled to begin at 10.00 Wita, was only opened at 11.24 Wita.

The seventh meeting of the second session period was scheduled to hear the report of Special Committee (Pansus) VIII, which was deliberating the Draft Regional Regulation (Raperda) of Denpasar City concerning the accountability of the Denpasar City Regional Budget for the 2025 Fiscal Year. The meeting also addressed the recess reports from each faction.

The delay occurred because the meeting was waiting for the Speaker of the Denpasar City DPRD, I Gusti Ngurah Gede, who was chairing the session. After the meeting was opened with the singing of Indonesia Raya, Ngurah Gede immediately led the roll call of council members.

Ngurah Gede stated that eleven council members were absent. “This meeting is attended by 34 members. Eleven are absent, of whom two are ill and nine have leave,” he explained.

However, the identities of the nine members who were absent with leave have not been confirmed. Nevertheless, the meeting proceeded according to the scheduled agenda.
