Denpasar DPRD Commission III Chairman Resigns
The Chairman of Commission III of the Denpasar Regional Legislative Council (DPRD), I Wayan Suadi Putra, has resigned. The PDIP politician stepped down from his position as a council member after participating in the selection process for the Board of Directors of Perumda Pasar Sewakadarma Denpasar.
“Yes, it is true, but the dismissal is still in process,” said the Head of Public Relations for the Denpasar DPRD, Widiatmika, when confirmed on Tuesday (7/7/2026) evening.
“The dismissal letter is currently with the Mayor of Denpasar, which will subsequently be forwarded to the Governor of Bali,” he added.
It is noted that Suadi Putra submitted his resignation request on 18 May 2026. When approached, Suadi confirmed the news. “I am resigning to participate in the selection for the Board of Directors of Perumda Pasar Sewakadarma Denpasar,” said the man from Sidakarya, South Denpasar.
Suadi admitted that before officially resigning, he had communicated his intentions to the leadership of the Denpasar DPRD and his party, PDIP. He was reportedly asked to remain as a council member, but Suadi chose to proceed with the selection process. His motivation is his desire to improve the development of markets in Denpasar.
“The Chairman believes that I have the capability, having served as Chairman of Commission II and now Chairman of Commission III. The Chairman only hopes for the best,” he concluded.
