The Denpasar Creative Agency (Bkraf Denpasar) is once again presenting D’Youth Fest 6.0 to strengthen a space for youth expression, this year featuring a more collaborative, productive, and impactful concept. Beyond providing entertainment and a stage for creativity, D’Youth Fest 6.0 is designed as a meeting point for ideas, networks, and capacity-building opportunities for young people.

Chairman of Bkraf Denpasar, Ari Setiya Wibawa, stated in Denpasar on Friday that this year’s festival brings several key innovations that distinguish it from previous editions. “In line with the vision of the Mayor of Denpasar, this festival must become a space for ideas, creativity, and productive opportunities, so that young people are not just spectators but are encouraged to become creative actors actively contributing to the development of the creative economy,” Ari said.

He explained that one of the main innovations of D’Youth Fest 6.0 is the strengthened cross-sector involvement, with planned collaborations with various professional organisations, communities, and regional creative networks. This year, Bkraf Denpasar has invited the Indonesian Institute of Architects (IAI), the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (Hipmi), and secured support from the Bali Creative Economy Agency (Gekraf) network as part of reinforcing the youth creative ecosystem in Denpasar City. The presence of IAI opens up discussion and creative exploration spaces related to architecture and green spatial planning, while Hipmi’s involvement connects youth creativity with entrepreneurial spirit, offering a new perspective that creativity can grow into productive economic opportunities.

D’Youth Fest 6.0 carries the theme “Regrow: Feel The Growth,” embodying a philosophy of nurturing growth. The festival features various workshops, discussions, community exhibitions, creative economy activations, and cross-disciplinary learning spaces relevant to the needs of today’s young generation. The event series is also strengthened by diverse community programmes, including the OTW (Operet This Week) theatre competition, Glory of Youth for the esports ecosystem, ARC (Area Creator) as a space for pop culture and cosplay, as well as mural exhibitions, film screenings, a tattoo expo, and a cross-interest community parade, making the festival more inclusive and multidisciplinary.

Public enthusiasm for D’Youth Fest has steadily increased. Visitor numbers have risen from under 10,000 at the first edition to over 30,000 at D’Youth Fest 5.0, a more than threefold increase. “This shows that D’Youth is no longer just a community agenda but has grown into one of the most anticipated creative festivals for young people in Denpasar,” Ari noted.

In addition to providing a creative space, D’Youth Fest 6.0 strengthens its commitment to environmental responsibility. Bkraf Denpasar is introducing an integrated waste management system during the festival as part of educating the younger generation on environmental awareness. “We want D’Youth to leave an impression not only as a lively festival but also as a responsible one. We are implementing a more structured waste management system to invite young people to learn that even large events can be orderly, clean, and sustainable,” Ari concluded.
