Denied Money for Tramadol, Man in Bima Hacks Wife with Machete
FM (28), a husband in Labuhan Kananga Village, Tambora District, Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), brutally attacked his wife, identified as DR (28), with a machete. The assault was triggered by his anger after she refused to give him money to purchase the hard drug Tramadol.
“Yes, it’s true. The perpetrator is still being hunted by officers from the Tambora Police Station,” said Bima Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head, Iptu Ghufron Subeki, on Friday (12/6/2026).
Ghufron stated that the alleged domestic violence incident occurred on Friday morning at the couple’s residence in Labuhan Kananga Village, Tambora District. “The incident happened this morning. The suspected perpetrator and the victim are a married couple,” he said.
Ghufron explained that the incident began when FM asked DR for money after waking up in the morning. However, the request was refused by DR because it was still early in the day and the money was intended to buy Tramadol pills. “Initially, she refused to give money to buy Tramadol, which triggered a debate and verbal argument between FM and DR,” he clarified.
Enraged, FM grabbed a machete and hacked DR, causing injuries to her arm. After attacking his wife, FM immediately fled and escaped. “Tambora Police officers, upon receiving the information, went directly to the crime scene and took DR to the Tambora Community Health Centre for medical treatment,” he concluded.
