Dengue kills four in Aceh

BANDA ACEH, Aceh: Four people have died of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever this month, but doctors were able to save dozens of other sufferers.

T. Muhammad SKM, an official at the provincial office of Ministry of Health, said four cities -- Banda Aceh, Aceh Besar, Pidie and North Aceh -- saw the most cases of dengue, Antara reported.

Muhammad describes Banda Aceh, Sabang, Aceh Besar, Pidie, North Aceh, East Aceh and West Aceh as endemic regions which suffer from the outbreak almost annually.

Last year, 14 died of the disease in the province. (swe)
