Jakarta — Demand for luxury mobile phone rentals is increasing ahead of Eid al-Fitr 2026 as consumers seek to capture holiday moments with high-quality camera phones.

This trend is being experienced by mobile phone rental service provider Transgo, which has seen significant increases in consumer interest in renting luxury phones such as iPhones compared to regular days. Reservations are already being made well in advance for use during the Eid holiday period.

“Interest in iPhone rentals during Ramadan and leading up to Eid always increases significantly compared to normal days. We have already received many orders for bookings during the Eid period,” said Transgo owner Sassy Kirana.

Approaching Eid, the number of reservations can increase to approximately five to 15 rental customers per day, with rental periods typically lasting one week.

“During Ramadan and Eid, our turnover usually increases significantly compared to normal months. Revenue increases can reach approximately 10-20 per cent,” said Kirana.

The most sought-after models include iPhone 11, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 14, iPhone 15, and iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Consumers utilise these phones for various purposes, including documenting Eid celebrations by taking advantage of advanced camera features and high-quality image output from these luxury phones.

Additionally, some renters use iPhones for work purposes, live streaming, wedding documentation, or to try out phones before purchasing.

The phone rental service, located in Pancoran, South Jakarta, provides various iPhone models ranging from the iPhone 8+ to the latest model, iPhone 17.

To rent a phone, prospective customers need to contact the admin through short message service, select an iPhone model and rental duration, then provide identification details such as an identity card or other official identification.

After data verification and completion of the rental form, renters can proceed with payment when the unit is handed over in accordance with what has been agreed.

To minimise the risk of device loss or misuse, the service provider implements several security measures, including renter identity verification, clear rental agreements, detailed unit documentation, and a monitoring system throughout the rental period.
