The Central Jakarta District Court (PN Jakpus) moved on Wednesday, 4 March 2026, into the final phase of the case over an incitement linked to protests that turned violent in August last year. The sentencing hearing for Delpedro Marhaen, the Executive Director of Lokataru, and three co-defendants will take place on Friday (6 March) around 14:00 WIB. ‘The hearing will resume after Friday prayers, at around two o’clock,’ said presiding judge Harika Nova Yeri of PN Jakpus. The other defendants are Syahdan Husein, an administrator of @gejayanmemanggil; Muzaffar, a staff member of the Lokataru Foundation; and Khariq Anhar, a student at Universitas Riau. Previously, during the indictment hearing, the court charged Delpedro and the three associates with inciting people to commit wrongdoing in public, either by spoken or written words, or to incite others to oppose the authorities through violence. The prosecutor stated that Delpedro, Muzaffar, Syahdan, and Khariq had been proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt of committing the offences under Article 246 in conjunction with Article 20C of Law No. 1 of 2023 of the Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP). In response, the four defendants were each subjected to a potential two-year prison term, to be reduced by any time already spent in custody.
