Dell has officially launched its latest entry-level gaming laptop in the Alienware series, the Alienware 15.

Dell positions the Alienware 15 as a “core” model in the Alienware gaming laptop line, sitting below the mid-range Aurora series and the flagship Area-51.

In terms of design, the Alienware 15 has a different look compared to previous generations of Alienware laptops.

Dell has removed the large rear thermal shelf, which has long been a distinctive feature of Alienware laptops.

Instead, the laptop now has a simpler design that resembles a conventional laptop.

The hinges of this 2.2-kilogram laptop can also be opened up to 180 degrees, making the screen easier to view from various angles.

Although it has a simpler and less “aggressive” look than the mid-range and high-end models, this gaming laptop still retains the iconic illuminated alien head logo on the screen cover.

Moving on to performance, the Alienware 15 is equipped with the latest Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics card (GPU) with options up to RTX 5060. This GPU is known for its powerful graphics processing capabilities for high-end “AAA” games.

This limitation is done to adjust to the laptop’s cooling system, which is now made more compact.

The high power consumption of the GPU generally affects gaming performance, but it also generates more heat, requiring an optimal cooling system.

For the processing power, the GPU is paired with several processor options.

The AMD variant uses a Ryzen 5 220 or Ryzen 7 260, while the Intel model is equipped with a Core 5 210H or Core 7 240H.

In terms of the screen, the Alienware 15 features a 15.3-inch panel with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels, a refresh rate of 165 Hz, a brightness level of 300 nits, and an sRGB color gamut of 62.5 percent.

In terms of connectivity, the laptop is equipped with Ethernet, HDMI 2.1, two USB-A ports, and two USB-C ports. One of the USB-C ports supports charging up to 100 watts.

In the global market, the Alienware 15 is priced starting at $1,299 (around IDR 22.8 million) for the AMD variant and $1,349 (around IDR 23.7 million) for the Intel model, as summarized by KompasTekno from Gizmochina.

There is no information yet on when or if this latest Alienware gaming laptop will be available in Indonesia.
