Delivery services launched

JAKARTA (JP): PT Senawangi Sempati, a Humpuss Group subsidiary operating in package delivery services, started yesterday to provide overnight and Sunday deliveries domestically.

Rudy H. Widagdo, the company's director of commerce, told reporters yesterday that with a box labeled "Economy Box", a customer can expect packages to be delivered overnight at a fixed price, regardless of weight.

He said that the other new service, called Sunday Delivery, offers delivery on Sundays and public holidays. A Sunday delivery costs Rp 10,000 (US$4.49) for a box of less than ten kilograms, and Rp 15,000 for more than ten kilograms.

Rudy said the company started the new service for Jakarta and Surabaya in East Java and will expand it to a number of cities next month.(32)
