Delivering Defence, Nadiem Requests Acquittal from All Charges

The defendant in the alleged corruption case involving Chromebook procurement for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology’s education digitalisation programme, Nadiem Anwar Makarim, underwent a plea hearing (defence note) at the Corruption Court in Jakarta on Tuesday (2/6/2026). In his defence, Nadiem stated that experts and factual witnesses have testified that there were no elements of state loss, legal resistance, self-enrichment or enrichment of others, or any criminal intent in his case.
