DEFEND ID net profit surges 430% to Rp913 billion
Bandung, West Java (ANTARA) - Defence industry state-owned enterprise (SOE) holding company DEFEND ID reported a 430.1% surge in consolidated net profit for the 2025 fiscal year, reaching Rp913.05 billion. An exponential growth from last year’s profit of just Rp172.24 billion was driven by operational efficiencies and optimisation of national strategic projects. In a statement received in Bandung, West Java, on Wednesday, it was reported that the financial performance was formally approved at the 2025 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) held in Bandung on Tuesday, 26 May 2026, attended by the SOE Management Board (BP BUMN) and PT Danantara Asset Management as shareholders. Throughout 2025, the holding company, which integrates capabilities across land, sea, air, ammunition, and defence electronics industries, secured total contracts worth Rp113.85 trillion. This was supported by carryover contracts worth Rp94.78 trillion and new contracts worth Rp19.07 trillion. The company’s fundamental structure also showed significant strengthening. DEFEND ID’s assets surged 18.3% to Rp66.05 trillion, with equity growing 8.2% to Rp15.23 trillion. Based on evaluations, the holding’s financial health is rated BBB+ with actual business income reaching Rp20.71 trillion. The holding’s manufacturing strength is fully supported by 11,022 employees, with over 60% deployed in production and technical (engineering) roles. In response to these positive trends, PT Len Industri (Persero) DEFEND ID has outlined a new corporate direction through the ‘Astacita Len Industri’ blueprint. The focus is on mastering eight future technologies, including artificial intelligence, semiconductors, command and control systems, radar, electronic warfare, cybersecurity, satellites, electro-optics, and autonomous systems. DEFEND ID President Director Joga Dharma Setiawan stated that the company’s 2025 achievements form a crucial foundation for strengthening Len’s position as a national strategic technology company. ‘The positive performance achieved in 2025 is the result of business transformation, strengthened defence industry ecosystem synergies, and the commitment of all company personnel in advancing national technological independence,’ he said. Through Astacita Len Industri, Joga added, Len will continue to strengthen its mastery of future technologies to support national industrial competitiveness and national resilience.
