Defence industry state-owned enterprise (BUMN) holding company DEFEND ID reported consolidated net profit of Rp913.05 billion for the 2025 financial year, a 430.1% surge from the previous year. This exponential growth from the previous year’s profit of Rp172.24 billion was driven by operational efficiencies and the optimisation of national strategic projects. The financial performance was formally confirmed during the 2025 annual general meeting of shareholders (RUPS) held in Bandung on Tuesday, 26 May 2026, attended by the BUMN Management Agency (BP BUMN) and PT Danantara Asset Management as shareholders. Throughout 2025, the holding company, which integrates capabilities across land, sea, air, ammunition, and defence electronics industries, secured total contracts worth Rp113.85 trillion. This figure was supported by carry-over contracts valued at Rp94.78 trillion and new contracts worth Rp19.07 trillion. The company’s fundamental structure also showed significant strengthening. DEFEND ID’s assets surged by 18.3% to Rp66.05 trillion, with equity growing 8.2% to Rp15.23 trillion. According to evaluations, the holding’s financial health is rated BBB+, with actual business income reaching Rp20.71 trillion. The holding’s manufacturing strength is fully supported by 11,022 human resources, with over 60% dedicated to production and technical (engineering) roles. In response to this positive trend, PT Len Industri (Persero) DEFEND ID has outlined a new corporate direction through the ‘Astacita Len Industri’ blueprint. This focus centres on mastering eight future technologies, including artificial intelligence, semiconductors, command and control systems, radar, electronic warfare, cyber, satellites, electro-optics, and autonomous systems. Len Industri DEFEND ID President Director Joga Dharma Setiawan stated that the company’s 2025 achievements form a crucial foundation for strengthening Len’s position as a national strategic technology company. ‘The positive performance achieved in 2025 is the result of business transformation, strengthened defence industry ecosystem synergy, and the commitment of all company personnel to drive national technological independence,’ he said. Through Astacita Len Industri, Joga added, Len will continue to strengthen its mastery of future technologies to support national industrial competitiveness and national resilience.
