The Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence, Lieutenant General Tri Budi Utomo, has officially closed the education and training (diklat) for the first batch of 33,785 prospective managers for the Merah Putih Village/Sub-district Cooperatives (KDKMP) and Merah Putih Fishing Villages (KNMP). The closing ceremony was held at Halim Perdanakutsuma Air Force Base, East Jakarta, on Friday morning.

“Participants across Indonesia, not just in Jakarta, who have completed this education and training number 33,785. Approximately 3,500 of those were present in Jakarta for this activity,” Tri told reporters.

According to him, following the closing ceremony, the prospective KDKMP and KNMP managers will return to their respective regions. They will then await a summons from the central committee. Subsequently, the prospective managers will await their work placements for a two-year period, which will be determined by the State-Owned Enterprise Regulatory Agency (BP BUMN).

“Regarding the upcoming placements, once they have finished, as mentioned earlier, they will be sent back and will await a summons. After the summons, the placement will be managed by the BP BUMN,” Tri explained.

Furthermore, Tri noted that a second batch of training will be opened, which is expected to involve tens of thousands of participants. Regarding the schedule, the ministry is awaiting the central committee, which is set to hold a meeting on Friday afternoon.

“A meeting will be held this afternoon, but we have already prepared these personnel within a talent pool that has been established, following a joint selection process conducted previously,” Tri added.
